5 tips to improve your Mobile photography

Thanks to mobile cameras we can now take high quality pictures, without having to buy expensive professional camera. But its not easy as it looks, and the power is in the hand of the photographer. All it takes to optimize your photo quality is some tips that we are going to talk about in this post.

1) Discover your camera settings:

It is important to explore your mobile’s camera features. Try to modify the settings to match your style of photography. The options vary from phone to phone, so take time to learn the main options and I advise you to watch more camera phone reviews on YouTube. There are many youtubers out there, they go through camera phones in details to explain every feature and what it can do for you.

2) Clean your camera lens:

This is the second tip that I have for you, it is something that I do everytime I’m about to take a picture. It is important to do because we carry our phones in our pockets or bags that can have some dirt in it.

These prints of dust can ruin your perfect photo. It can make an image blurry or mess up the light or colors that would make a picture stand out more.

3) use hdr:

HDR stands for “High Quality range”. It will make it easier for you to get the most detailed shots. With HDR On, you can take pictures with good exposure throughout the entire scene.

Turning On HDR, is telling your camera phone to combine the brightest and darkest areas together to get the best of that scenery.

The only downside of HDR, is that in mid-day light you won’t get the best out of it. The mid-day light is harsh and mobile camera does not have the capability to counter that.

4) Portrait mode:

Nowadays most camera phones come with Portrait Mode built in. I usually use it when I want to get more details from a single object on a picture. It helps you focus on one thing and blur the surroundings of that object.

It is fun to use and play with. Most mobile photographers, influencers or Instagramers rely on this mode to give some high-quality photos.

5) Position yourself to the right level:

This is such an important point to talk about. Personally, sometimes when I want to get the most of a scene. I position myself low, I get as close as I can to the ground to shoot a scene with a lot of details, dogs, or babies. Choosing the right position, can improve your photo quality too.

In the end, this is not the most detailed list, but it’s a good start to step up your mobile photography game.

Thank you for your time, I hope this post will help in your next photo session.
