My firsts in nantes

Mobile Photography for me is an escape from reality, it is a world with no boundaries and it is entirely up to me, my imagination and how different I view things. I love how I can tell stories with my pictures as I also use it ( photography ) as a way to express my feelings. In this article I present to you my new adventure in Nantes and my passion for Mobile Photography.

This was theoretically my first picture in Nantes, I was both scared and excited about the new challenges and the new experiences I will face in this big beautiful city. This was also my first time flying, my first time leaving my parents, my girlfriend, my best friends. I had left everything for a new adventure and it was also my first time in France, the country of fashion, gourmet food and good history. A country with a stunning capital that attracts millions of tourists every year, “the city of love”, Paris. Way too many “firsts” at once right? Let me tell you that this is just the beginning of something even bigger than just a couple of firsts.

I came here as a student, driven by so much motivation, curiosity and the sense of discovery as someone who is passionate for Photography and this allowed me to transform my moments of appreciation and admiring the beauty of Nantes into pictures, and every one of them has a different story to tell.

How did i get into mobile photography ?

My first at beaujoire park:

This landscaped area combines perennials with nearly 20,000 rose bushes, especially selected for their fragrance.

It all began by appreciating the little things. A beautiful, dreamy sunset as shown above in park beaujoire, a quiet place and a priceless view, just me myself and my phone’s camera. When I speak about the little things, I mean all those special moments when whether it’s a walk with friends where everyone is just having fun, smiling and enjoying their life, an old building with a unique architecture that holds many secrets and showing off its beauty through the time or it could be a just sports car, modified car or an old school one. This goes without saying that I’m passionate about cars as well.

But mainly it’s about sunsets, my Achilles heel if you may say, from a young age with my father, we used to go on walks during that time of the day, just to talk and to share what we love. This love of sunsets grew up in me and with years I’ve met a friend that shares the same passions as I do, for sunsets and photography, I’ve learnt so much from him and the number of sunsets we enjoyed is countless.

Don’t you guys just love the fact that photography causes us to admire those little moments of beauty, the moments in which most people would just walk by and not give any attention to?

what are my benefits from mobile photography ?

My first in Château Duchesse Anne:

A castle with six centuries of history, which houses a presidential palace with refined facades with its Renaissance-style loggias. Recent archaeological, historical, and architectural discoveries allow a different approach to the history of this monument. In the heart of the medieval district of Nantes, its courtyard, its ramparts, and its moats are accessible. Public place, it welcomes you for a moment of relaxation or during major cultural events.

It’s safe to say that the number of times I pull out my phone to take a picture the day in which I’m going to discover a place is even more than to use social media. This is what I love about photography, it gives you the advantage to disconnect from the real world for a few moments, by having a soft spot for it, you start to look more and more into things and value what you’re seeing.

As a person who loves creativity what I saw in the picture above, a place where people used to walk around, bike around or have small little talks in the corner. My imagination took me away for few moments, had me thinking about what happened in this old mysterious place. I liked the way the walls were shaped, the sun purifying my view and the bikes giving it an archaic look.

A picture tells a thousand things

My first in parc procé :

Designed by the landscape designer Dominique Noisette in 1866, this 12-hectare park unfolds around the green flow of the Chézine and the rocky escarpments of the furrow of Brittany. Romantic and picturesque English park, it offers many views from its sloping lawns.

You got to love Nantes and its numerous parks, this day I had the chance to enjoy the beauty of nature where I was surrounded by beautiful flowers everywhere, couples enjoying the fresh air and photographers taking pictures of the uniqueness this place possesses.

I intentionally took this picture of me walking in this place, because it made me remember my hangouts with an old friend back at home where we used to go to our favorite botanic park in Rabat and enjoy the calmness of our own world and talk our heart out about everything. It’s crazy isn’t it? How different places can make you remember some good old moments that no matter what happens, it would never leave your memory.

This was my story, i hope you enjoyed it and stay tuned for other amazing stories.
